Adoption Attorney in Berks County, Pennsylvania
 An adoption
is when one or more people agree to raise a child or to adopt the child(ren). There are normally two different methods for adopting a child. One is what is called a private adoption (when people get together and agree to the adoption [a friend, relative, new marrior
a public adoption when it is agreed to through an adoption agency, such as a public agency, church, religion, or some other organization. Depending upon the closeness of the relationship with a private adoption, the Court may require a "home study." This is when some organization evaluates the home where the child is to be placed and the adopting parents. For a public adoption, this is almost always done.

ADOPTION FEES
It can be expensive to adopt a child, although if you search for an experienced lawyer to do it, the fees can be reasonable. The nice thing about the fees is that they can be used as a credit on your income tax. A credit is a deduction
in the full amount, not just a percentage. Normally, the adopting agencies seek married adopting parents, but that is not an absolute rule.  There are also some state programs that pay adopting parents a fee or allow special tax breaks for adopting parents, especially if the child(ren) have special needs.
